Pittsburgh Business Times: Starting a Business : Business Advice

iqukikofor.wordpress.com
Let's be honest: Things are bad, and it is miserablde out there in the worldof commerce. We are in a globalk recession that will last forsome time. 1. The economu eventually will improve andget 2. Most companies rely on salespeopls to help with thebottom line. Continuinf sales of a product or service for an organization alongf with great salespeople will be needed even more during thesetough times. I think it is important to look at a strategy as old as business itself that will help a its profitability, the salespeople employed and the customerd that a company does businesd with. The first thing, whicyh is of the utmost are your customers.
Whether you are the CEO reading the salesperson or a person in customerservicew - this is the time to protecy your customer base and make sure that they are satisfied, period ! The one way to do this is to get in touch with your customers. Do not attempt to do this by mail or It istoo impersonal. If you want to build relationshipws withyour customers, then build them the way they are supposed to be builgt - by people dealing directly with people ! You need to ask your customerds a simple and direct question: "How are we doingh for you? Be and tell me the truth." for the salespeople who still are employed, you are gointg to have to work harder.
Yes, I said it - This means not only visitingt your existing customers and checking theit true level of customer satisfaction but also going out and gettinygnew business. Sure, the economy is and we are not buyinv as much of anything as we did a few years ago, but the fact remains that therde is still business beingb done out there.
